JETAANY 30th Anniversary Photo Contest - Accepting entries through October 6/ Voting October 6 to October 23JETAANY is hosting a photo contest as part of our chapter’s 30th anniversary! We are opening this contest to all JETAANY members, regardless of when you went on JET. Doesn’t matter if you were in Japan in 1989, 2006 or are still there! We want to help our alumni to help share their best memories and photos of Japan throughout the long history of the JET Program2020 has been a turbulent year, and with travel restricted, many of us have been looking through old photos of our lives in Japan on the JET Programme. Now’s the time to put them to good use and help celebrate 30 years of JETAANY! Come join us for an illuminating lecture and discussion with Dr. Scott Haas on ukeireru, the Japanese concept of acceptance and how it can be applied to improve our daily lives.
Through his experiences working and living in Japan, Dr. Haas has observed how Japanese people use acceptance and empathy to live more happily and manage the stresses of everyday life. By embracing and practicing ukeireru, Dr. Haas offers his insight on a new way of life to reduce anxiety and stress and increase overall well-being.
This event is open to current/alumni JETs and family/friends of JETs.
