Take a break at the JETAASC Water Cooler! This is a casual drop-in type hang out where you can say hi, stick around for some lunchtime conversation, or just tune in to some ambient social interaction we've all been missing away from the office. Bring your favorite drink or a full meal, pop in for a few minutes or a few hours. Lee Uehara, (Chiba-ken, '93-'95 (!) is a former reporter and the host of five podcasts. She is the co-founder of the nonprofit, Asian American Podcasters Association, and co-founder of Podthon.com, a virtual podcasting conference highlighting speakers of color, now in its third year. Her shows include Upper West Side Corner Talk, House of Lee NYC, and the Asian American Podcasters Association podcast.

Temari is an old tradition, but it's hardly outdated: these thread-covered balls make lovely gifts and holiday decorations! We'll give you a kit of everything* you need to do a "kiku" (chrysanthemum) pattern temari in two colors of your choice, with live instruction via Zoom. No experience, purchase, or preparation is necessary. Advance signup is required to get your spot; kits will be mailed before Thanksgiving. Instructed by JETAA Member Lindsay Amor ('08-13). I look forward to stitching a kiku with you!
