Event Recap: JETAA DC Alumni Talks - Career in the Private Sector

Last month, JETAADC hosted its second Alumni Talks on Careers in the Private Sector, with three fantastic JET alumni: Kendaal Strailey (Ehime, 2006-2008), Alex Melillo (2012-2015), and Jenny Kai (Nara, 2015-2016).

The panel discussed their, sometimes winding, career paths which led them to their current positions. The panelists noted that private sector jobs are often not as advertised as government or teaching jobs, but stress that is where networking and the JET alumni association comes in.
