April’s Ouchigohan Menu: Agedashi Tofu & Nasu Dengaku!

Join USJETAA and Japan-America Society of Georgia (JASG) for the April edition of Ouchigohan!—a fun, family-friendly online Japanese home cooking class! This month’s menu features two dishes: Agedashi Tofu & Nasu Dengaku.

Nasu Dengaku is a grilled or broiled eggplant topped with a sweet and savory miso glaze, meanwhile Agedashi Tofu is a comforting dish made with crispy, deep-fried tofu served in a light, flavorful broth.

Cook along from your own kitchen and learn how to make these classic, comforting dishes! This class will be taught by Debra Samuels, lead curriculum and recipe developer for Wa-Shokuiku, a program of Table for Two. Debra has authored two cookbooks and was the 2020 recipient of the John E. Thayer III Award for Outstanding Contributions to Cultural Exchange Between the United States and Japan.

The online session will take place on Sunday, April 27 at 4:00 PM ET.

Cost: $10 for USJETAA members with code JETAA
$15 for general public

Be sure to select the appropriate ticket type during the registration process.
