DanKnowJapan Launch
JET alumnus Daniel Lowe (Chiba-ken, 2011-2013) launched a new website, DanKnowsJapan. The site explores ways to improve our language learning, grow more connected with Japan, and live healthier and more productive lives. What Dan says about the project: After the success of the JETs Who Get Things Done Facebook Challenge, which attracted 600 members, I was eager to start a new project. As we entered the social distancing phase of COVID-19, I read several books on productivity and healthy living. I realized that I could apply so much of the lessons I was consuming to Japanese language learning, the JET Program, and other areas related to Japan. Social distancing also gave me space to improve my processes and reflect on mistakes, so my weekly newsletter has a "mistakes made" section - both to force me to reflect on the prior weeks and to caution others.
