Pulitzer Center Teacher Fellowship
Program Dates: October 23, 2021 – May 21, 2022
Application Deadline: September 26, 2021
How can engagement with underreported global news stories support existing curricula, while also preparing students to engage critically and empathetically with the world? The Pulitzer Center is offering paid, virtual Fellowships during SY2021-22 to explore this question in a community of passionate educators, award-winning journalists, and the Pulitzer Center staff. The year’s theme is Journalism and Justice: Elevating Underreported Stories in the Classroom. Fellows will participate in workshops, develop and implement short units, and share their projects publicly through the Pulitzer Center’s online lesson library and virtual professional development programs. Upon completion, Fellows will earn a $1,200 stipend, digital badge, and 35 PLUs. This Fellowship is open to grade 4–12 classroom teachers.
