Call for Papers – 25th Princeton Japanese Pedagogy Forum (PJPF)

We are pleased to announce that the 25th Princeton Japanese Pedagogy Forum (PJPF) will take place on May 11-12, 2019 at Princeton University. The theme of the Forum is “Toward Inclusive Language Education: Rethinking the Diversity of Modern Day Society.” Three keynote speakers, Dr. Emi Otsuji (University of Technology, Sydney), Professor Marcella Mariotti (Ca’Foscari University of Venice), and Professor Seiichi Makino (Princeton University) have been invited to give talks on this theme.

The Forum invites papers related to the main theme for both pre-college and college level as well as heritage Japanese language and culture education. In addition, we welcome any paper related to Japanese language education in general, including second language acquisition, linguistics, and technology in language learning and teaching, among others.

Individual papers should be 20 minutes long with an additional 10 minutes for discussion. We will also have one-hour poster sessions. When you submit your proposal, please tell us you preference. For submission, visit https://pjpf.princeton.edu/abstract-submission-form-pjpf-2018

The submission deadline is January 10, 2019. Notification of accepted papers will be sent in February 2019. Please note that an abstract and a paper in the Proceedings should be written in the same language as the one used in the presentation. Accepted papers will be published on the website. If you have any questions, please send e-mail to ssato@princeton.edu .

We are looking forward to seeing you at the Forum.
