Japan ICU Foundation (www.jicuf.org) is now accepting applications for the 2020 United States Scholars Initiative (USSI) Scholarship. USSI is a merit-based scholarship that provides full-tuition support for four years of undergraduate study at ICU. Two incoming first-year students receive the scholarship annually.

All applicants must be U.S. citizens and have completed high school in the United States. They must also demonstrate a strong interest in Japan, ICU, the Japanese language and the liberal arts.

The application deadline is December 1, 2019. Recommendation letters are due December 8, 2019. By mid-December, shortlisted applicants will be notified to schedule an interview during the first weeks in January 2020.
