Position: Content Production Coordinator

Contract: Full Time (with 6-month probation period)

Position Summary:
FunkyCorp is looking for a Content Production Coordinator with a passion for Japan and travel to join our team. We’re a hardworking creative international team that enjoys a challenge and loves working on new and exciting projects.

The Content Production Coordinator will work closely with the Content Director and other members of the Content Team to create online content and manage tourism-related content production projects. Specific tasks include copywriting, translation, editing, proofreading, content planning, task assignment and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Copywriting and translating travel-related marketing content

• Planning, reviewing, editing and proofreading online content

• Sourcing, handling and monitoring the progress/quality of external translators, writers and other vendors

• Liaising with the design and technical teams to see content through from the planning and production stages to publishing

• Competitor analysis and research

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and an adaptable, flexible personality

• Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Proactive, well-organized individual that can work independently to ensure content production goals and manage multiple deadlines across different projects at any one time

Requirements:

• Strong English written skills. Experience in copywriting/editing preferred.

• Strong Japanese language skills across the board in reading, writing, speaking and listening. JLPT N1 preferred but not essential.

• Experience in translation from Japanese to English

• Interest in Japan, travel and online media

• Strong computer skills with a decent knowledge of major word processing and spreadsheet tools and cloud-based applications. Knowledge of project management platforms, content management systems, and CAT software is desirable.

• Must hold a valid work visa and be resident in Tokyo or willing to relocate to Tokyo or nearby
