Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of the Institute for Civic and Community Engagement (ICCE), the Program Coordinator for Student Placement, Partnerships & Systems will ensure the functionality of processes that facilitate student community engagement related to a wide variety of programs, courses, internships, activities, and partnerships. The position facilitates the student placement and community partnership processes, inclusive of required student forms, risk management learning site reviews, and learning placement site agreements for a variety of university departments that engage students with the community. This position provides first-line direct user-support and engages in outreach and communications with faculty, staff, community partners, and students on navigating and using these systems, inclusive of organizing, coordinating, and facilitating information sessions (individual and group), orientations, and classroom presentations. The coordinator develops, maintains, and sustains partnerships that support the mission of ICCE and compliment the University’s strategic goals. The coordinator is also responsible for compiling, analyzing, and preparing relevant data connected to student success, retention and community impact. The coordinator provides analytical and web systems support; maintains web systems, and monitors student placements, projects/partners, and data configurations. The coordinator will share responsibility in maintaining ICCE’s website and social media, ensuring program activities and processes are disseminated across the campus and community. The SPSC provides the infrastructure necessary to support students in high impact learning experiences.
