Former Members of Congress (FMC) is a bipartisan, nonprofit, alliance of former Senators and Representatives. We work to strengthen the Congress through promoting a collaborative approach to policy making. We seek to deepen the understanding of our democratic system and encourage the citizenry through civic education about Congress and public service. FMC also works with current Members of Congress and staff to encourage better understanding of democracy at home and abroad. Housed within FMC are the Congressional Study Groups on Japan, Germany, Europe, and Korea. The Congressional Study Groups are premier legislative exchanges that support bipartisan relationship-building efforts between the United States Congress and these allies abroad.
Program Officer Position Announcement
FMC has an immediate opening for an entry/mid-level, Program Officer. We are seeking a qualified candidate to help implement the programming of FMC’s Congressional Study Group on Japan. Successful applicants will have an understanding of both the Japanese-American relationship and the Japanese political landscape. Japanese language proficiency is required, spoken and written fluency preferred. This position works closely with our Congressional Study Group team.
