CET STUDENT SERVICES COORDINATOR

The Student Services Coordinator (SSC) is part of CET’s Student Services team. Through proactive and inclusive advising, the Student Services team equips students to study abroad. We serve as the bridge between the program on-site and the student pre-departure, delivering prepared students to our colleagues abroad, so they can maximize their study abroad experience. This team actively supports CET’s mission by providing comprehensive support services that prepare students academically, culturally, and personally for their time abroad. The Student Services team maintains an active partnership with fellow CET colleagues in DC and around the world, as well as with university partners. The Student Services team seeks to understand the needs of students and how to best support those needs. The team’s broad range of support services enhance the quality of CET programming, facilitate student retention, and optimize the student experience.

DIRECTOR, TALENT & CULTURE

The Director of Talent & Culture is a strategic partner who supports all divisions of Academic Travel Abroad, including CET, and advises the Executive Team on all personnel matters in the US and overseas on topics such as: benefits/payroll, on/off-boarding, staff development, compliance and all other HR-related issues. This person’s goal is to support our culture of respect, civility, direct communication and a love for learning through travel.

INTERNATIONAL
CET JAPAN RESIDENT DIRECTOR

The Japan Resident Director is primarily responsible overseeing student life in Japan, such as orientation, health and safety, student advising, housing, and activity planning on the CET Japan portfolio of programs, which run during the fall, spring and summer terms. The Resident Director also has duties related to custom programs, which operate on a case-by-case basis.

CET JAPAN ACADEMIC DIRECTOR

CET is seeking an Academic Director (AD) for CET Japan. The AD is responsible for the academic excellence of the CET Japan programs, articulating a clear vision and academic identity, ensuring the delivery of a robust, well-designed curriculum, upholding the highest standards in teaching, learning, and pedagogy, and positioning CET at the forefront of the field. The AD is also responsible for ensuring smooth academic administration: adhering to all CET policies and processes, maintaining strong relationships with local university partners, faculty and staff, and CET headquarters. In addition, the AD collaborates closely with CET Student Life staff to ensure the quality of program activities, ongoing orientations, and the roommate program.

FACULTY INSTRUCTOR, JAPANESE LANGUAGE

CET is seeking Japanese language faculty for CET Japan. Course faculty are expected to take full ownership of their course, with direction from the program’s Academic Director as needed. Faculty are expected to deliver the course according to the highest academic standards, to provide a  stimulating and inclusive intellectual environment, and to adhere to CET’s academic policies. In addition – and importantly, given that this is a study abroad program – faculty are asked to make concrete connections between the academic content of the course and Japan as context. This is a primary academic goal for CET as an organization, and a central metric around which course feedback is designed.

CET PROGRAM LEADER
MULTIPLE POSITIONS: CHINA, FRANCE, ITALY, JAPAN, SPAIN, OR USA

CET is seeking program leaders for all our High School and Pre-college summer programs. Pre-departure, the Program Leaders work closely with the Global Perspectives Team to develop location specific academic and reflective activities, excursions, and discussion topics, based on the core course curriculum and learning plan. While on-site, the Program Leaders are responsible for implementing these activities and facilitating these discussions, with the support of the Local Coordinator. The Program Leaders are also in charge of student health, safety, and behavior, and stay with the students in a hostel or hotel during the second city excursion.

CET SIENA PROGRAM COORDINATOR

CET is seeking a Program Coordinator for our programs in Siena, Italy. The position is primarily responsible for supporting the operation of the CET Siena program. The Program Coordinator also has duties related to custom programs, which operate on a case-by-case basis. They will report to the Siena Program Director, helping in the areas of student life, such as orientation, health and safety, student advising, housing, and activity planning. This position will also collaborate with academic staff on student issues that might be both academic and personal in nature.
