The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST) is a dynamic graduate university of science and technology in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Under the leadership of the Media Relations Manager, the Media Relations Specialist is to act as the main point of OIST contact for the media. This person will handle all matters related to the press, including responding to media inquiries, conducting media interviews, monitoring and reporting on media coverage, coordinating press conference and press briefing sessions, and developing good working relationships with journalists and other external and internal stakeholders. Other responsibilities include writing and editing for press releases and web stories, social media posting and managing projects within the Communication and PR Division.
