We’re looking for Knowledge Engineers to join us in Tokyo and help us expand Alexa’s knowledge base and make her the most intelligent Shopping assistant in the world. As a Knowledge Engineer in this role, you will be responsible for solving complex problems like identifying the optimal technical and UX strategies for answering questions customers ask Alexa while shopping via voice. You will become an expert in Amazon’s vast product catalog and launch new experiences to customers allowing them to learn about millions of purchasable products. You will own all aspects of a product launch, including ideation, prioritization, development, and post-launch metric monitoring, all with the goal of making Alexa the smartest assistant in the world.

The system uses a lot of proprietary technology so you can expect full training and don’t need any specific experience in the area. However it’s a complex and demanding role, requiring a lot of raw talent and versatility to learn the full system and quickly become productive across all areas.
