Japanese Language Lecturer position – Ohio State University (Columbus, OH)
The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at The Ohio State
University invites applications for a full-time lecturer in Japanese
language beginning August 15, 2022. Teaching responsibilities include
Japanese language at all levels in various modes of instruction, including
in-person or online classroom as well as in-person and distance instruction
in the Individualized Instruction program.
Review of application will begin on April 15 and continue until the
position is filled.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Japanese language
pedagogy or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants who are
highly proficient in both Japanese and English; have demonstrated
excellence in teaching Japanese language courses to speakers of other
languages at the college level; have familiarity with current language
pedagogy; especially the performed culture approach, and have experiences
of using technology to enhance language learning. To build a diverse
