The Communications Director is responsible for the strategic communication efforts for the Governance Studies (GS) program by creating and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy for Governance Studies that includes website presence, media/press and stakeholder outreach, event planning, publications production, marketing and other tactics as necessary.  Sets the GS priorities for innovative approaches to communications and leverages traditional and new media opportunities.  Responsible for promoting the Governance Studies program and its scholars and research to external stakeholders.   Coordinates efforts with other GS staff and contractors involved in communications activities.  Serves as the program’s liaison to the central Brookings (BI) Communications Office.
