World Politics Review, an online source of news and analysis on global affairs, is seeking an associate editor with deep knowledge of international affairs and top-notch editorial skills to oversee WPR’s newsletters and social media presence. In addition to our individual subscribers, WPR’s institutional subscribers include foreign and defense ministries, government agencies, international organizations, and leading think tanks and universities worldwide.

The associate editor will manage and edit our existing weekly newsletters; conceive and author a new weekly newsletter based on regional or topical expertise; write another weekly article for the site; manage WPR’s social media feeds; and copy edit articles across the site. Working as an integral part of WPR’s collegial editorial team, the associate editor will contribute to shaping our coverage by helping to conceive story ideas for our other content channels. There will also be opportunities to work on WPR’s weekly podcast.

The ideal candidate will have a journalism background and a passion for international affairs; display “perfect pitch” as an experienced editor and writer; and be very comfortable with all the tools of digital publishing.
