Assistant Teaching Professor in Japanese language – Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC)
WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY’s Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures is seeking applications for one non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor in Japanese language, beginning July 2021. We seek candidates who have a commitment to excellence in teaching. Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or ABD status) in Japanese linguistics, second language pedagogy, or a related area. We seek a candidate with native or near-native fluency in Japanese and English, and experience in teaching Japanese language courses of all levels as well as for specific purposes at the university level. A strong grounding in proficiency-oriented teaching is preferred. The candidate will be expected to teach six courses per year or the equivalent.
