We seek applicants with expertise in Japanese Language and Cultural Studies with broader research interests in Asian Studies (East, Southeast, or South). We are particularly interested in the cultural production of modern Japan and Asia more broadly — literature, transnational Asian cinema, media, and popular culture. Candidates with an interdisciplinary research orientation are strongly encouraged to apply.
