OKA - 439 3rd Avenue (between 30th and 31st St), New York City, NY
Please come take part in a special fundraiser for flood relief efforts in Japan, featuring tastings of Japanese food and spirits. 100% of proceeds from this JACC (Japanese American Community Coalition) event will go towards aid for those in western Japan who have been suffering from historic rainfalls and landslides this summer.
Japanese-inspired hors d'oeuvres as well as premium sake, wine and beer provided by Chef John McCarthy of OKA will be available, as well as special prizes. This is a collaborative event of many Japanese/Japanese American and Japan-related organizations: HAA, JAA, JETAANY, JMSA, USJC, NY Japanese American Lions Club and JACL-NY [with the support of the Consulate General of Japan in New York]. Proceeds will go to JAA’s Japan Flood Relief Fund. JAA, the Japanese American Association of New York, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
