The Waza represent a select group of over 100 artisans skilled in traditional crafts dating back to Japan’s Edo Period, 300 years ago. These artisans are here to share traditional Japanese culture. While the Waza travel throughout the world, Ginza Holiday at the Midwest Buddhist Temple is one of their few appearances in the United States.
We are fortunate to have the following Waza Artisans participate in Ginza Holiday 2019
Eiji Kinoshita – Traditional Japanese Pottery
Masahiro Kawakami – Tenugui, decorative towels
Takeshi Ichigi – Wagashi, confectionary treats
Kimiko Inoue – Ikkan-bari, bamboo crafts
